SUSTAINABLE CHANGE

20220725_one_pager-15.png

Our goal:

"We believe sustainable change is possible when we learn to allow both worlds at the same time, and practice"

So expect some non-mandatory activities that help you do this. This is 'community hotel' meaning that we invite you to be more than just a visitor. Also: read here how we, as staff and in-residence, support this with our sustainability culture.

THE TRIANGLE: our mission

20220725_one_pager-15.png

The center is created by a social entrepreneur & impact investor, who believes humanity needs to change itselves more than to change the world around humanity. The journey inwards.

INCLUSION

The world of sustainability is still in its early phase, where it is focussed on improving the outside world: less CO2, less hunger for other people, including other people. We believe in the next 20 years this industry will become mainstream, and will move deeper into our lives: not so much the world outside of ourselves or our companies, but the journey inwards: making our own life sustainable: Addressing all those issues we push away and which keeps us from being our true healed self.

Neolithicum creates spaces where people are welcomed with these pieces in themselves, so we can work and live in a truly sustainable matter, not just a sustainable outer world.

TRIANGLE

To create this safety, we need to shift from duality (two parties/sides) in a direction of a circle (many parties/sides).

Literally: to sit regularly in a triangle or circle.

The first step from duality towards the circle is THE TRIANGLE.

MISSION

Mankind needs no more retreats or dedicated safe spaces to recover or to train;

because we learned how to include all sides of society, others, and ourselves in daily life.

NEOLITHICUM: our heritage

20220725_one_pager-15.png

Neolithicum is the Latin & Dutch name for the Neolithic Age, about 6000 years ago. It was the period when mankind for the first time settled down in self-built homes, and for the first time started farming & domesticating animals.

This probably marked the greatest revolution of mankind ever. Please read that again:-) It was the start of extreme abundance ('financial') for mankind, but also the start of massive social & environmental changes and challenges. Just like today…

Our village has a direct link to this heritage. The type of programs we host: a combination of financial, social & ecological: or if you will: 3BL, impact, ESG or SDG related.

Our neighbourhood Almere-Oosterwold also has a direct link: (1) it is one of the 10 archaeological Neolithic finding sites in The Netherlands and (2) in Almere-Oosterwold all 15.000 households have to build their own eco-homes and do farming on their own land, both just like 6000 years ago.

THE FOUNDER: the intentions

20220725_one_pager-15.png

Tim is a social entrepreneur and impact investor. This means that he is focussed on building and investing in innovative social businesses, that not only give a financial return, but also a social and/or ecological return. Hence this investment in the Neolithic Village that provides social (housing) and environmental (farming) return & innovation.

As part of his journey, Tim has become both an impact entrepreneur as well as an holistic therapist. Neolithic combines both: bringing the impactful business world together with the social sustainability of healthy people. He sees great potential for healing and growth of individuals as well as businesses if we dare to innovate: to move away from the traditional hierarchical coaching or hierarchical teamwork. He will live full time in this village, where he actually wants to live the promise: "live the life with peers in a circle".

With his background and his natural way to create safe spaces for others, he sets out on an adventure to make a safe space in society. The dream is that one day we will live in a better outside world, as well as inner world. Sustainability inside and outside .

1.
SAFE CIRCLE

logo circle.gif

We believe level 1 of real lasting change comes from allowing our group to do some of our work in a circle.

By a circle we actually mean sitting in a circle, without any table in between. It welcomes people to be their whole self. We believe this element of equality and vulnerability is essential for lasting change in companies & people.

The jargon for this form is to include inner work. It is already common in education and social ventures, but not so much in the corporate world. Unless it's a training for a corporation :-)

By using a circle for your training or teamwork, the leader or coach automatically becomes part of the circle

2.
CONTAIN OURSELF

logo square.gif

We believe level 2 of real lasting change comes from stepping outside our own group (your safe circle), and start containing ourself and triggers, while we are with other people.

At Neolithicum we offer these sessions daily. Everyone can do them live or online with guests from other groups (ranging from corporations to tantra courses) staff, neighbours and volunteers.

We offer daily voluntary sessions called Check-Inn. It is where you do a small check-in about how you are, without any response from the others, in live or online groups of 2-4.

3.
DIVINE REAL LIFE

logo triangle.gif

We believe level 3 of real lasting change comes from using triggers in real-life. In stead of pushing them away, we realise that these are real-life invitations for progress, growth and healing.

We leave the coach behind, and step into the circle of society in a sustainable way. We do that because we have learned to create our safe circles, are able to contain ourself in such a way that we can experience triggers as teachers of what really needs to be addressed and taken out of the shadow.

We like to say we live the divine real-life, seeing the discomfort of real-life actually as divine.
